Not quite, but its getting there. The problem is partially down to the lack of Semiconductor chips available for the cars, a global shortage slowing the production of phones, laptops, all the gadgets you can think of. It is believed that the shortage of chips may last until the end of 2023, but that cars have considerable orders to maintain production once they catch up. Many of the new cars are now hybrid or full electric as the UK continues its strive to cut carbon emissions aggressively.

When will new cars be available?

There are still lots of cars available to order now, but factory orders on specific models have longer lead times than they might usually and with less certainty. With the car market being underserved and used prices high, now is a great time to change vehicle if you are looking to upgrade.
